A Little More About My Yoga Journey
I signed up for the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) foundation in yoga course in 2012, I was going through a particularly difficult time in my life & simply wanted to do something for myself that was not work related. By the end I knew I wanted to know more, I felt I had dipped my toe into something that was amazing!
I went on to study with Christopher Gladwell and Sarah Harlow and completed a 500 hour advanced yoga teacher training course at Yogasara Academy in Bristol. I had no intention of teaching just wanted to learn more. This course took me deeper into my practice and knowledge of yoga. I began to realise that yoga is not just making shapes on mats, it is about having a greater ability to deal with the ups and downs of life. Yoga has helped me to be less stressed, to worry less, to sleep better and to have more energy. It quite literally changed my life & by the end I felt compelled to share what I had learned and experienced with others. Yoga has so much potential for our physical, emotional & mental wellbeing.
Deciding to sign up for Yoga Therapy training at the Minded Institute in London, seemed like a natural step to bring together my passion for mental health and wellbeing, combining my nursing skills and yoga experience.
I am so excited to now be able to offer Yoga Therapy, i am deeply passionate about this unique and holistic approach. It can be adapted in so many different ways and at its heart it's empowering and supports long term sustainable changes.
