A Little More About My Yoga Journey
Form many years my yoga practice was in y=gyms andDVDs. It was during a challenging time in my life that I signed up for the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) foundation in yoga course I just wanted to do something for myself that was not work related and had little if any expectations. I soon realised I had found something that was changing how i felt and this was showing up in life too.
Hungry to dive deeper (no intention to be a teacher at this point) i went on to complete a two year, 500 hour advanced yoga teacher training course at Yogasara Academy in Bristol. This course took me deeper into my practice and knowledge of yoga. I began to realise that yoga is not just making shapes on mats, it is about having a greater ability to deal with the ups and downs of life. Yoga has helped me to be less stressed, to worry less, to sleep better and to have more energy. It quite literally changed my life & by the end I felt compelled to share what I had learned and experienced with others. It started with one yoga class a week, a Monday morning at Yogasara.
Deciding to sign up for Yoga Therapy training at the Minded Institute in London, seemed like a natural step to bring together my passion for mental health and wellbeing, combining my nursing skills and yoga experience.
I am so excited to now be able to offer Yoga Therapy, i am deeply passionate about this unique and holistic approach. It can be adapted in so many different ways and at its heart it is simple yet empowering.
So i went from having no desire to teach yoga to now working full time as a therapist and teacher!
