About Yoga Sessions and Workshops
This retreat is suitable for anyone, even yoga beginners, who wish to learn practical methods & tools to take into their everyday lives.
The morning practice provides an opportunity to explore meditation and practice Kriyas (ancient cleansing practices).
Moving into a practice to wake the body and mind with a mindful approach, connecting with the breath & the ground to deepen the effects of asana. Opening up our energy systems with an explorative approach to our own unique needs and differences. Move into your afternoon with more ease and presence.
The afternoon workshops will each have a theme to explore how yoga practices can influence our health & wellbeing. They will include a combination of the ancient practices of yoga such as; Chakras, Vayus, Koshas, Meditation, Pranayama, Mindfulness practices. Combined with a modern day understanding of the science and research which prove the effects of yoga & mindfulness on our physiology and neurology. They will include an exploration of neuroscience, applied anatomy & physiology, positive psychology, transpersonal coaching.
The evening session of mindful movement and yoga Nidra to support a good night's sleep promoting healing and deep rest.

Josie Harrington trained as a Yoga Therapist at the Minded Institute in London, she combines this training with her skills & experience as a mental health nurse. She is a qualified yoga nidra teacher and has an advanced yoga teaching certificate. She brings a therapeutic approach to teaching yoga & mindfulness, to support health & healing.
Katie Despres combines her yoga teaching with her experience and training in both Positive Psychology and Transpersonal Coaching, to aid her students in finding a greater depth of personal understanding. With a extensive commercial background running businesses in both London and Bristol and a mother of three; Katie brings a realistic and practical approach to her teaching, enabling the practice to be accessible to everyone.
